3、ecification defines the standard temperature andhumidity for conditioning and testing of materials at nominallyambient conditions.1.2 There are many other temperature and humidity condi-tions which may be appropriately used to test end use condi-tions such as freezer, refrigerated or abusive storage

4、. Theseneed to be individually established.1.3 Temperature and humidity alone are not sufficient tocompletely define a storage condition. Many other factors maybe relevant (such as time, light and atmospheric pressure)which are not defined in this specification.1.4 Only those materials which fall in

5、to the general area offlexible packaging materials are included. Many other materi-als which were included in earlier versions of this specificationmay also need a definition.2. 7、er materials is not withinthe scope of this specification.3.4 The instruments and techniques used to measure thesestandard conditions of temperature and humidity must bevalidated. The validation process is beyond the scope of thisspecification.3.5 Preconditioning may be important with some items,par

8、ticularly those containing paper. In these cases, precondi-tioning is recommended in accordance with TAPPI T 402 at 10to 35 % relative humidity and 22 to 40C.ASTM International takes no position respecting the validity of any patent rights asserted in connection with any item mentionedin this standa
