Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This test method covers an engine test procedure forevaluating diesel engi
3、ne oils for performance characteristics,including lead corrosion and wear of piston rings and cylinderliners in an engine equipped with exhaust gas recirculation andrunning on ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel.2This test method iscommonly referred to as the Mack T-12.1.2 The values stated in either SI un
4、its, inch-pound units, orother units are to be regarded separately as the primary units.1.2.1 For each parameter, the primary units are shown first.Secondary units may be shown in parentheses, for informationpurposes only. These secondary units may or may not be exactequivalents to the primary units
5、.1.2.2 SI units are provided for all parameters except wherethere is no direct equivalent such as the units for screw threads,national pipe threads/diameters, and tubing size.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
