Terminology3.1 DefinitionsDefinitions for use with this standard are shown in Terminology D4538 or other applicable standards.3.2 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standard:3.2.1 safety-related coatings program, nthe systematic and planned activities conducted at a nuclear po
16、wer plant to ensure thatthe safety-related coatings and linings perform all of their design functions.4. Significance and Use4.1 This guide applies to personnel technically responsible for the safety-related coatings program.4.2 It is the responsibility of each nuclear facility or organization parti
17、cipating in a safety-related coatings program to ensurethat only those personnel within their respective organizations who meet the requirements of this guide are designated as NuclearCoatings Specialists.5. General Duties and Responsibilities of a Nuclear Coatings Specialist5.1 The duties of a Nucl
18、ear Coatings Specialist should be detailed in the facility safety-related coatings program and typicallymay include, but are not limited to:5.1.1 Developing and managing the safety-related coatings program,5.1.2 Developing and maintaining coatings and linings inspection criteria,5.1.3 Resolving and
19、dispositioning issues that arise during the performance of coating and lining work,5.1.4 Performing or evaluating condition assessment data, or both, generating written assessment reports, and initiating theappropriate corrective actions,5.1.5 Approving personnel performing coatings and linings insp
20、ections (ensuring that coatings and linings inspection isperformed in accordance with the facilitys or organizations Quality Assurance Program),5.1.6 Supplying input for maintaining the design bases for safety-related coatings and linings, including preparation andmaintenance of coating system speci
21、fications and reviewing/approving process (application) and test procedures, results, andreports,5.1.7 Preparing, and assisting in the update of specifications for safety-related coating and lining systems,5.1.7 Reviewing or approving application procedures, or both, and, as necessary, preparing or
22、assisting in their preparation, andreview,5.1.8 Preparing, or assisting in the preparation of, design and other evaluations (such as 10CFR21, 10CFR50.59) associated withspecific coating and lining systems and resolution of coatings-relatedrelated issues,5.1.9 Assisting the licensing organization wit
