Scope1.1 The thermophysical property tables for normal butaneare for use in the calculation of the pressure-volume-temperature (PVT), thermodynam
3、ic, and transport propertiesof normal butane for process design and operations. Tables areprovided for gaseous and liquid normal butane at temperaturesbetween 136 and 560 K at pressures to 20 MPa. One tableprovides properties at the conditions of liquid-vapor equilib-rium (saturation properties). Th
4、e other table provides proper-ties at selected T, p points for the equilibrium phase at thoseconditions. The tables were developed by the National Instituteof Standards and Technology from a Standard ReferenceDatabase product REFPROP, version 8.0.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded
5、asstandard. No other units of measurement are included in thisstandard.2. Applicability2.1 These tables apply directly only to pure gaseous normalbutane. However, it is expected that they may find substantialuse in mathematical models and tables for the thermophysicalproperties of mixtures containin
6、g normal butane.3. Tables3.1 These thermophysical property tables are:3.1.1 Thermophysical Properties of Coexisting Gaseous andLiquid Normal Butane, in SI units. See Table 1.3.1.2 Thermophysical Properties of Normal Butane AlongIsobars, in SI units. See Table 2.3.2 The tabulated thermophysical prope
7、rties are:r, molar density (moll-1)H, molar enthalpy (Jmol-1)S, molar entropy (JK-1mol-1)Cv, constant volume molar heat capacity (JK-1mol-1)Cp, constant pressure molar heat capacity (JK-1mol-1)c, speed of sound (ms-1)h, viscosity (Pas)l, thermal conductivity (mWm-1K-1)3.3 These tables were produced
8、by equations from a com-puter package, “NIST Standard Reference Database 23; Ref-erence Fluid Thermodynamic and Transport Properties Data-base (REFPROP): Version =8.0” A wide selection of units (SIunits, engineering units, chemical units) is available with thisprogram.24. Additional Information4.1 R
9、eference state properties are required to calculatecertain of the thermodynamic properties (enthalpy, entropy,etc.) from an equation of state formulation. The reference stateproperties used to generate the tables in this specification are:enthalpy, H, and entropy, S, at 298.15 K and 0.101325 MPa(H =
10、 19275.7 J/mol and S = 309.909 J/(mol K). The molarmass of normal butane is 58.122 g/mol.5.
