Asked about the parking facilities at the le

8、isure centre 700 customers responded positively, whereas 550 said something negative about it. Looking at the ticket costs there were almost three times as many people responding negatively than positive. With only 350 positive responses. The booking service was equally evaluated. For this service t

9、he survey counted 650 positive and 600 negative responses. In contrast to the ticket costs the attitude of staff was evaluated very positively. Only a fourth of the 1,250 asked customers complained about the attitude of staff. 950 people thought positively about the staff at the leisure centre. Summ

10、arizing the results of this survey you can say that there is need for improvement in the fields of ticket costs, booking service and parking. Band 4 This is a well-organised answer which uses a good range of cohesive devices (whereas, in contrast to, etc.). The candidate has used quite sophisticated

11、 language, and errors mostly occur only when more ambitious language is attempted. Sample B This report sets out the distribution of positive and negative responses given in a market survey about service provision at a leisure centre. How did customers think about Parking? From the 1250 customers, 7

12、00 customers found that parking was very good and 550 found that parking could better. The customers found that the ticket costs could lower because they pay a lot of money for one single hour. The booking service is a little bit more positive then negative. Customers think that the booking service

13、is quiet well in of but it can be more suggested. The attitude of the staff is well done because the customer tells what kind of idea she has and the staff thinks about the idea and work the idea out. The results of the survey are very good for the leisure centre. Band 2 This is an inadequate attemp

14、t at the task. There is some irrelevance and quite a few basic errors, some of which impede communication. The writer uses a limited range of structure and vocabulary, and the language is generally too elementary for this level. 二、 PART TWO 2 【正确答案】 Introduction This report aims to analyse in which

15、way the company should reinvest its profits this year. Options under consideration are as follows: purchase of new company buses, provision of language training courses and payment of special bonuses. Options under consideration New company buses The motorcade of company buses are aged but still goo

16、d to use. They are equipped with comfortable sofa seats, air-conditioning sys- tem, and even karaoke. Their hardware is by no means out of date. Furthermore, engines of these vehicles were just replaced last year, and the new ones all come from Volvo which run smoothly. Consequently, new company bus

17、es would he out of the question. Culture comparative courses The company is planning to increase its international market shares, particularly in China and Japan. Therefore, attending culture comparative courses would be of significant help for employees who will deal with business partners and cust

18、omers in those regions. In addition, courses would increase cohesion: staff members would get along with each other as classmates. They would certainly re- member this period of happy time for many years to come. Therefore, the idea of spending on culture comparative courses is not bad. Special bonu

19、s payments Although special bonus payments would give stimulation on motivations, they would have no immediate improvement on the companys overall performances. Theres also a potential hazard concerning the resentment among staff ineligible for the payments. Once a precedent for future payments is s

20、et, what shall we do to boost the morale in a rainy day? Therefore, choosing to invest in bonus payments would be unwise. Recommendations It is concluded that a win-win situation for both the company and staff would be achieved by investing in culture comparative courses. It is suggested that the company should arrange courses in Chinese and Japanese. Those employees who have contact with partners and customers in the above regions should be assured of places. For other interested members of staff though, they should also be encouraged to attend.
