Materials and Manufacture4.1 Steel accessories and steel components of accessoriesmanufactured from steel and paper in combination shall bemanufactured from zinc-coated cold-roll (coil or cut

15、length)sheet steel not less than 0.012-in. (0.30-mm) thick beforeapplication of coating.4.1.1 Sheet steel, zinc-coated by the hot-dip process, shallbe in accordance with Specification A653/A653M, minimizedspangle, minimum G-30 coating.4.1.2 Sheet steel, zinc-coated by the electrolytic processshall b

16、e in accordance with Specification A879/A879M, mini-mum coating on surface side to be 0.000140 in. (0.00356 mm),minimum coating on reverse side to be 0.00010 in. (0.00254mm).4.1.3 Sheet steel, aluminum-coated, shall be in accordancewith Specification A463/A463M minimum T1-40 coating.4.1.4 Zinc-phosp

17、hate treatment (as specified in 5.4.2 ofPractice D6386) or other surface treatments may be used toensure compatibility and bond as specified in Section 5.4.2 Zinc accessories shall be manufactured from rolled zincin accordance with Specification B69, Type I, not less than0.012-in. 18、.3 Plastic accessories and plastic components of accesso-ries manufactured from plastic and paper in combination shallbe manufactured from rigid PVC, ABS, PETG, high-impactpolystyrene (HIPS), or polycarbonate (PC) plastic not less than0.028 in. Physical Properties5.1 Compatibility and BondAccessories shall be compat-ible with and provide a surface bond to the materials specifiedin Specifications C475/C475M and

21、C587.5.2 Test PerformanceSteel accessories and steel compo-nents of accessories shall not show any red oxidation whentested as specified in Practice B117 for 192 h.6. Dimensions and Permissible Variations6.1 Cornerbeads shall have an interior angle between theflanges no greater than 89.6.2 Accessori

22、es shall be free of twist or camber of a degreethat will prevent their use in the assembly for which they areintended.6.3 Length tolerances shall be 6316 in. 23、egypsum board used.6.5 The minimum width of the flange shall be78 6132 in.(22 6 0.8 mm).7. Appearance7.1 Edges of accessories shall be free of burrs and sharpedges.8. Configuration8.1 Flanges of accessories, when required to be attached toframing members, shall have punch outs to accommodatefastenin

24、g to the framing members. When required to meetperformance requirements, the flanges shall be either knurled,made of mesh, deformed, expanded, or otherwise shaped tomeet the performance requirements and intended use. Fig. 1depicts the most commonly used shapes.NOTE 1Other types of accessories design

25、ed for special finish appli-cation (bull-nose, cove, and so forth) shall be manufactured in accordancewith the general requirements of this specification.9. Sampling9.1 At least 0.25 % of the number of each type of accessoryin a shipment, but not less than three pieces, shall be selectedto represent

26、 the shipment and shall constitute a sample for thepurpose of tests by the purchaser or user.10. Inspection10.1 Inspection of the accessories shall be agreed uponbetween the purchaser and the supplier as part of the purchaseorder.11. Rejection and Rehearing11.1 Rejection of accessories that fail to

27、conform to therequirements of this specification shall be reported to theproducer or supplier promptly and in writing within 10working days from receipt of shipment by the purchaser. Thenotice of rejection shall contain a specific statement of therespect in which the accessories have failed to confo

28、rm to therequirements of this specification. In case of dissatisfactionwith the results of the test, at the request of the producer orsupplier, such notice of rejection shall be supported by resultsof a test conducted by a mutually agreeable independentlaboratory.12. Certification12.1 When specified

29、 in the purchase order, a producers orsuppliers certification that the product meets the requirementsof this specification shall be furnished to the purchaser.13. Packaging and Package Marking13.1 Accessories shall be packaged to ensure safe deliveryby common or other carriers.13.2 When shipped for

30、resale, the name of the manufactureror seller and the brand and contents shall be legibly marked oneach package.14.
