Scope*1.1 This specification covers aluminum-alloy centrifugalcastings designated as shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification is for aluminum-alloy
3、 centrifugalcastings used in general purpose applications. It may notaddress the mechanical properties, integrity testing, and veri-fication required for highly loaded or safety critical applica-tions.1.3 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1/H35.1 (M).1.4 Unless the order s
4、pecifies the “M” specificationdesignation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-poundunits.1.5 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminumand aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification,see Annex A1 and Annex A2.1.6 UnitsThe values stated in either SI units or inch-po
5、und units are to be regarded separately as standard. Thevalues stated in each system may not be exact equivalents;therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other.Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.1.7 This standard does not purport t
6、o address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety, health, and environmental practices and deter-mine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.8 This international standard was
