Scope*1.1 This specification covers aluminum-alloy centrifugalcastings designated as shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification is for aluminum-alloy

3、 centrifugalcastings used in general purpose applications. It may notaddress the mechanical properties, integrity testing, and veri-fication required for highly loaded or safety critical applica-tions.1.3 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1/H35.1 (M).1.4 Unless the order s

4、pecifies the “M” specificationdesignation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-poundunits.1.5 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminumand aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification,see Annex A1 and Annex A2.1.6 UnitsThe values stated in either SI units or inch-po

5、und units are to be regarded separately as standard. Thevalues stated in each system may not be exact equivalents;therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other.Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.1.7 This standard does not purport t

Responsibility for Quality Assurance5.1 Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchaseorder, the producer shall be responsible for the performance ofall inspections and test requirements specified herein. Unlessotherwise agreed upon, the producer may use his own or anyot

39、her suitable facilities for the performance of the inspectionand test requirements specified herein. The purchaser shallhave the right to perform any of the inspections and tests setforth in the specification where such inspections are deemednecessary to confirm that the material conforms to prescri
