Scope*1.1 This specification covers commercial zinc alloys iningot form for remelting for the manufacture of d
3、ies and moldsfrom the alloys as shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification presents requirements for zinc alloyssuitable for the production of sand cast or plaster cast formingdies for sheet metal stamping operations and plastic injectionmolding. Alloy A is intended for use in the fabrication of diesfo
4、r sheet metal stamping under drop hammer and hydraulicpressure. Alloy B is a special purpose alloy of closely con-trolled composition and is primarily used in the manufacture ofplastic injection molds.1.3 This specification covers two zinc alloys which arespecified and designated as follows:UNS ASTM
