General Requirement3.1 Material furnished under this specification shall con-form to the applicable requirements of Specification B829unless otherwise provided herein.4. Ordering Information4.1 It is the resp

7、onsibility of the purchaser to specify allrequirements that are necessary for material ordered under thisspecification. Examples of such requirements include but arenot limited to the following:4.1.1 Alloy name or UNS number.4.1.2 ASTM designation and year of issue.4.1.3 Quantity (feet or number of

Mechanical and Other Requirements5.1 Tension TestThe mechanical properties of the materialat room temperature shall conform to those shown in Table 1.The sampling and specimen preparation are covered in Speci-fication B829.5.2 Hydrostatic or Nondestructive Electric TestEach pipeor tu

11、be shall be subjected to either the hydrostatic test or to thenondestructive electric test. Dimensions and Permissible Variations6.1 The requirements of Specification B829 will applyexcept for hot-finished pipe and tube dimensional requirementsshown in Table 2.7. Chemical Requirements7.1 The material shall conform to t

16、he requirements as tochemical composition specified in Table 3. One test is requiredfor each lot as defined in Specification B829.7.2 If a product (check) analysis is performed by thepurchaser, the material shall conform to the product (check)analysis variations in Table 3 of Specification B829.8. 17、umber of Tests8.1 Chemical AnalysisOne test per lot.8.2 Tension TestOne longitudinal tension test shall bemade on a specimen from a pipe or tube representing 1 % ofthe pipe or tube for each lot.8.3 Hydrostatic or Nondestructive Electric TestEachlength of pipe or tube.9. Test Methods9.1 Hydrostatic T

18、estThe allowable fiber stress for hydro-static testing purposes shall be 17 500 psi.9.1.1 Any pipe or tube that shows leaks during hydrostatictesting shall be rejected, but any leaking areas may be cut outand the pipe or tube retested as above.9.2 Nondestructive Electric TestEach pipe or tube shall

19、beexamined with a nondestructive electric test as per prescribedin Specification B829.10.
