Ordering Information4.1 Orders of product under this specification should include the following in
8、formation:4.1.1 ASTM designation and year of issue,4.1.2 Type (Section 1),4.1.3 Grain size (Section 78),4.1.4 Dimensions and tolerances (see 8.18.1.4),4.1.5 Drawing number to which order applies (see 8.18.1.4), and4.1.6 When the material is purchased for agencies of the U.S. Government, (see Supplem

Material and Manufacture5.1 Material:5.1.1 The material of manufacture shall be annealed plate, sheet, strip, or disks of wrought Alloy UNS No. C26000 processedto produce even-topped cups.1This specification is under the jurisdiction of ASTM Committee B05 on Copper an

14、duct shall be blanked manufactured by such blanking and cuppedcupping to meet the cup dimensionsspecified, and subsequently annealed. The annealed cups shall be pickled, washed, and dried.6. Chemical Composition6.1 The productmaterial shall conform to the requirements prescribedchemical composition
15、requirements in Table 1.6.2Composition limits may be established and analysis required for unnamed elements by agreement between manufacturer andpurchaser.6.3Either copper or zinc may be taken as the difference between the sum of all elements analyzed and 100%. Copper, whendetermined by the differen
16、ce, must conform to the requirements of6.2 These composition limits do not preclude the presence of other elements. By agreement between the manufacturer andpurchaser, limits may be established and analyses required for unnamed elements6.3 Because zinc is listed as “remainder” either copper or zinc

20、rain size requirements specified in Table 2.7.1.1Grain8.1.2 Grain size ranges other than those specified in Table 2 shall be established by agreement between manufacturerand purchaser.7.1.2Grain size ranges for other cups shall be established by agreement between manufacturer and purchaser.8.Dimensi
21、ons, Mass, and Permissible Variations8.1All dimensions and tolerances of cups shall be as indicated on the drawings furnished with the purchase order or contract.8.1.3 Grain size ranges for other cups shall be established by agreement between manufacturer and purchaser.8.1.4 Acceptance or rejection
22、based upon grain size shall depend only on the average grain size of a test specimen as prescribedin Section 11. Each specimen shall be within the limits prescribed in Table 2 when determined in accordance with Test MethodsE112.9. Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance9.1The cups shall be uniform in qu
23、ality and shall be free of oil, grease, oxidation, stains, scale, chips, acid, dirt or grit, dentedor bent edges, laminations, slivers, laps, cracks, deep scratches, wrinkles, or other injurious defects which would interfere with thepurpose for which the cups are intended. The cups, subsequent to an
24、nealing, shall be pickled, washed, and dried.
