Scope*1.1 This specification covers the general requirements forhot-rolled, heavy-thickness sheet and strip in coils.1.2 It applies to Specification A 1018/A 1018M.1.3 This material is available only in coils descr

The purchaser is advised to discuss this change withthe supplier.1.4 In case of any conflict
6、in requirements, the requirementsof the individual material specification shall prevail over thoseof this general specification.1.5 Annex A1 lists permissible variations in dimensions andmass (see Note 2) in SI metric units. The values listed are notexact conversions of the values listed in the inch
7、-pound tables,but instead are rounded or rationalized values. Conformance toAnnex A1 is mandatory when the “M” specification is used.NOTE 2The term weight is used when inch-pound units are thestandard. However, under SI, the preferred term is mass.1.6 The values stated in either inch-pound units or
8、SI unitsare to be regarded as standard. Within the text, the SI units areshown in brackets. The values stated in each system are notexact equivalents; therefore, each system must be used inde-pendently of the other. Combining values from the two systemsmay result in nonconformance with this specific
