FIRE FIUHTINU (FOAM, 1,00 GALLON CAPACITY) General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description (CID). 1. Abstract: 1.1 This Commercial Item Description (C

2、ID) describes a commercial 1.000 gallon foam trailer with a 108 gpm transfer pump. The quantities and types shall be specified by the purchaser. The trailer shall be ceiltified legal for over the public road use. 2. Salient Characteristics; 2.1 Failure of the trailer to meet the following salient. c

3、haracteristics will require rejection of the offer. The trailer shall be an assembly of new materials (used or rebuilt products shall not oe used) and shaii te free from faulty construction or any defect whicn ariects appearance, serviceability or durability. All components ana iccessories shall be

4、represented In the manufacturers sales data as standard or uptiona. The trailer shall be representative of the qualitv and workmanship found in !Gam trailers offered for new commercial sale. O 2.2 The trailer shall be capable of being pulied on r13ved or graded f?aveL roads and cross country terrain

15、irements :- 3.1 The oiferer/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law Y4-5i6 to the maximum extent possible. 3.1 For the purpose of this requirement, recovered materials are those materials which have been collected from solid waste and reprocessed to become a

16、 source of raw materials as distinguished from virgin raw materials. The components. pieces and parts incorporated in the trailer may be newly fabricated from recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable. provided the trailer(s1 produced meets all other requirements of this CID. 22、iier furnished must be the latest model as of the date of award (with minor modifications, as that term is defined in DoD FAR Supplement 252.211-7012. Paragraph K-85 of the solicitation) of an established product previously produced and sold in substantial commercial quantities (exceeding the criter

23、ia at FAR 15.864-3 (f) (2) (ii) (A) for at least 2 years immediately preceding the issuance date of the solicitation. The trailer furnished, or earlier models of it, absent minor modifications, shall have routinely been supported with spares/repair parts which were produced or sold in the normal cou

24、rse of business. At the time delivery, the contractor shall furnish the Administrative Contracting Officer with verification of compliance with these requirements. Offerors shall provide, as part of their proposals, the following information on the trailer (or its earlier models) being offered as a

25、commercial item: (1) Total sales to the U.S. overnment or to contractors for U.S. overnment use during the 2 years immediately preceding the issuarice date oi the solicitation. (2) Total sale of the item to the general public during the 2 years immediately preceding the issuance date of the solicita

26、tion. (3) Length of time the item has been sold in the commercial market place. (4) Points of contact and phone numbers of customers to which the item has been sold in the commercial market place. (5) Other pertinent information necessary to determine that the item 1s an established commercial item.
