6、nderground storage was 4,216 Bcf, with a total deliverability of 95,233 MMcf per day. The United States imported 3.1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in 2012, primarily from Canada. Delivery The U.S. natural gas industry had 2.45 million miles of pipeline including distribution, services, transmis

7、sion, and gathering lines in place in 2012. Sales Gas utility sales decreased 10.1 percent in 2012 to 7,086 trillion Btu. Residential sales decreased 14.4 percent from 2012 levels. Commercial sales decreased 13.1 percent. Industrial sales increased 0.9 percent. Prices The average retail natural gas

8、price decreased 8.2 percent in 2012 compared to 2011. The average residential price decreased 2.0 percent. Average commercial prices decreased 6.6 percent.
