1、Designation: D7223 17 An American National StandardStandard Specification forAviation Certification Turbine Fuel1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D7223; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of
2、 last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope*1.1 This specification covers the use of purchasing agenciesin formulating specifications for purchases of aviation turb
3、inefuel under contract.1.2 This specification defines one specific type of aviationturbine fuel for civil use in the certification of aircraft. Thespecification can be used as a standard in describing the qualityof this aviation fuel from the refinery to the aircraft.1.3 This specification does not
4、include the fuels that arecommonly used in aviation turbine engines. Those are listed inSpecification D1655.1.4 The aviation turbine fuel defined by this specificationmay be used in other than turbine engines that are specificallydesigned and certified for this fuel.1.5 The use of EI/IP (Energy Inst
5、itute/Institute of Petro-leum) test methods is permitted. The user of this specificationis referred to Specification D1655 (latest revision), Specifica-tion for Aviation Turbine Fuels, Paragraph 2, ReferencedDocuments and Table 1, Detailed Requirements of AviationTurbine Fuels, Column 4, Test Method
6、s, to determine thepairing of the IP test method with the particular detailedrequirement, and to Section 11, Test Methods, to identifyjointed standards and referee methods.1.6 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded asstandard. No other units of measurement are included in thisstandard.1.6.
