44、ligen.Durch dieses Verfahren wird sichergestellt, dassunterschiedliche Meinungen vor Verffentlichung derendgltigen Fassung bercksichtigt werden knnen.Die Richtlinien und Normen sind in den sechs Bn-den des VDI/DIN-Handbuches Reinhaltung der Luftzusammengefasst.GlossarAcute Exposure Guideline Levels

45、(AEGL)AEGL-Werte 1 reprsentieren Expositions-Hchst-grenzen fr die allgemeine Bevlkerung und sollenfr strfallbedingte Einwirkungen von weniger als1 h bis zu 8 h anwendbar sein. Dazu werden fr ver-schiedene Expositionszeiten (8 h, 4 h, 1 h, 30 min,zustzlich Kurzzeitwert fr 10 min) die jeweiligenAEGL 1

46、, 2 und 3 ermittelt.Sie werden vom National Advisory Committee forAcute Exposure Guideline Levels for HazardousSubstances (NAC/AEGL) entwickelt und im FederalRegister der Environmental Protection Agency derUSA verffentlicht und zur Diskussion gestellt. NachDurchlaufen eines vorgeschriebenen Verfahre

47、ns, indem die vorgeschlagenen Werte diskutiert und kom-mentiert und gegebenenfalls modifiziert werden, er-halten die Werte schlielich den Final“-Status undwerden von der National Academy of Sciences verf-fentlicht. Werte mit Final“-Status sind bisher nochnicht verffentlicht. Die Anwendbarkeit der AE

48、GL-Werte fr Auswirkungsbetrachtungen im Rahmender Strfallverordnung wird zurzeit in der Strfall-kommission diskutiert.Arbeitsplatzrichtwert, vorlufiger (ARW)Die vorlufigen Arbeitsplatzrichtwerte sind Werte,die fr gefhrliche Stoffe von Mitgliedern der Indus-trie erarbeitet wurden, fr die ein MAK-Wert

49、 nochnicht existiert und eine Krebs erzeugende oder repro-duktionstoxische Wirkung nach gesicherter wissen-schaftlicher Erkenntnis nicht bekannt ist.Sie verfolgen das gleiche Schutzziel wie die MAK-Werte. Art und Umfang der Daten, die zur Ableitungder Werte fhren, knnen aber beschrnkter sein. Ar-beitsplatzrichtwerte werden u.a. von Mitgliedern derIndustrie erarbeitet, vom Arbeitskreis Toxikologie“des Ausschusses fr Gefahrstoffe (AGS) berprft
