5、t Guidelines RATIONALEKnowledge, planning, and training of the tire user are critical to ensure the proper use of off-road tires. This SAE information report provides guidelines to address tire damage. The guidelines will assist tire users in planning for tire replacement, removal, or repair to prev
6、ent unplanned down time and/or safety hazards to personnel from tire failure. Consequently, the guidelines will also help the tire user achieve maximum tire life.FOREWORDThis informational report defines typical tire damage, establishes guidelines for identifying personnel responsible for evaluating

13、erning off-road tire conditions that warrant replacement, removal, or repair. This material can assist the tire user in establishing specific written procedures for each job site. 1.1 Purpose The purpose of this SAE document is to provide guidelines for construction, mining, and industrial operation
14、s in the development of site specific plans to identify conditions that warrant replacement, removal, or repair of off-road tires. 21、components that is visible as a localized raised area on the sidewall or tread of the tire due to air that is trapped between tire components. This is not the expected outward deflection in the sidewall when the tire is under load, nor does it include the sidewall undulations (bulge-like appearances
