SCOPE1.1 FormThis specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of bars, forgings, flash welded rings, and stock for forging or flash welded rings.1.1.1 This specification covers
7、 product 3.25 inches (82.6 mm) and under in nominal diameter or least distance between parallel sides, and forging stock of any size (See 8.4).1.2 ApplicationThese products have been used typically for parts requiring high strength up to 1500 F (816 C) and oxidation resistance up to 2000 F (1093 C),
8、 particularly those parts which are formed or welded and then heat treated to develop required properties, but usage is not limited to such applications.2. 17、The alloy shall be produced by multiple melting using consumable electrode practice in the remelt cycle or shall be induction melted under vacuum.3.3 ConditionThe product shall be supplied in the following condition:3.3.1 BarsSolution heat treated and descaled.3.3.1.1 Bars shall be hot rolled or ext
18、ruded; round bars shall be ground or turned.3.3.1.2 Bars shall not be cut from plate (Also see 4.4.2)3.3.2 Forgings and Flash Welded RingsSolution heat treated.3.3.2.1 Flash welded rings shall not be supplied unless specified or permitted on purchasers part drawing. When supplied, rings shall be man
19、ufactured in accordance with AMS7490.3.3.3 Stock for Forging or Flash Welded RingsAs ordered by the forging or flash welded ring manufacturer.3.4 Heat TreatmentBars, forgings, and flash welded rings shall be solution heat treated by heating to a temperature within the range 1900 to 2125 F (1038 to 1
20、163 C) holding at the selected temperature within 25 F (14 C) for a time commensurate with cross-sectional thickness, and cooling at a rate equivalent to an air cool or faster.3.5 PropertiesThe product shall conform to the following requirements:3.5.1 Bars, Forgings, and Flash Welded Rings3.5.1.1 As
21、 Solution Heat Treated3.5.1.1.1 HardnessShall be not higher than 248 HB, or equivalent (See 8.2), determined in accordance with ASTM E 10.3.5.1.2 After Precipitation Heat TreatmentProduct 3.25 inches (82.6 mm) and under in nominal diameter or least distance between parallel sides shall have the foll
22、owing properties after being precipitation heat treated by heating to 1475 F 15 (802 C 8), holding at heat for 8 hours 0.5, and cooling in air; product over 3.25 inches (82.6 mm) in nominal diameter or least distance between parallel sides shall have properties as agreed upon by purchaser and vendor
