When specified, product shall be supplied in the annealed (O) condition.1.2 ApplicationThese products hav

7、e been typically used for parts requiring forming and as stock for flash welded rings which are to be subsequently solution and precipitation heat treated, but usage is not limited to such applications. 1.2.1 Certain design and processing procedures may cause these products to become susceptible to

8、stress-corrosion cracking after solution and precipitation heat treatment; ARP823 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.2. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for InspectionThe vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible

21、for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements.4.2 Classification of Tests4.2.1 Acceptance TestsComposition (3.1), tensile properties as annealed

22、(3.3.2.1) (not applicable to F temper), tensile properties after solution and precipitation heat treatment (3.3.3.1) and tolerances (3.5) are classified as acceptance tests and shall, except for composition, be performed on each lot.4.3 Sampling and TestingShall be in accordance with AMS2355.4.4 Rep

23、ortsThe vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the product conforms to the composition, tolerances and showing the numerical results of tests on each inspection lot to determine conformance to the other technical requirements of this specification. This report s

24、hall include the purchase order number, lot number, AMS4186D,size, and quantity. The report shall also include the identity of the mill and the size of the mill product.4.5 Resampling and RetestingShall be in accordance with AMS2355.5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY5.1 IdentificationShall be in accordance

25、 with ASTM B 666/B 666.5.2 PackagingThe product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with ASTM B 660 and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery.6. ACKNOWLEDGME

26、NTA vendor shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders.7.
