SCOPE 1.1 Purpose This spec
10、ification covers the requirements for electrodeposited cadmium on metal parts. 1.2 Application This process has been used typically to provide corrosion resistance to metal parts, but usage is not limited to such applications. 1.3 Safety-Hazardous Materials While the materials, methods, applications
11、, and processes described or referenced in this specification may involve the use of hazardous materials, this specification does not address the hazards which may be involved in such use. It is the sole responsibility of the user to ensure familiarity with the safe and proper use of any hazardous m
12、aterials and to take necessary precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of all personnel involved. 1.4 Warning This process uses cadmium as a plating material. The use of cadmium has been restricted and/or banned for use in many countries due to environmental and health concerns. The u

(
22、Residual tensile stresses have been found to be damaging during electrofinishing.) Temperatures to which parts are heated shall be such that maximum stress relief is obtained while still maintaining hardness of parts within drawing limits. Unless otherwise specified, the following treatment temperat
