2、se by all departments and agen- cies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specific.ation covers the requirements for the contractors formal demonstration of air launched guided missile systems and aerial target systems including the ground support equipment, test equipment, launch
3、equ2p- ment and ancillary equipment. Whenever the word system or systems is used in this specification it shall mean air launched guided missile system or aerial target system as applicable. 1.2 Purpose. The purpose of the demonstration is as follows: a. To demonstrate the functional compatibility o
4、f all components com- prising the system and its conformity to requirements specified in the contract detail specifications. The system is comprised of the launching equipment, air launched guided missile or aerial target, air launched guided missile or aerial target components, containers and groun

To ascertain the readiness of the system to enter Government evaluation by indicating the achieved level of performance, maintainability, serviceability, and reliability of the system in comparison with perform- ance, maintaina
10、bility, serviceability, and reliability required by the con- tract detail specification. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS “This section is not applicable to this specification.“ 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Prerequisites for formal demonstration. When the contractor is ready to conduct a contractors formal demonstrat
11、ion, he shall submit his request to NAVAIR in writing for acceptance. A demonstration plan (see 3.6.1) shall be included with the request. The contractor shall submit each system to an acceptance test at the contractors facility. Evidence that each system has passed this test shall be presented to t
12、he cognizant Contract Administration Office (CAO). for demonstration. After fulfilling this requirement each system may be submitted 3.2 Formal demonstration. Upon NAVAIR approval of the prerequisites for formal demonstration the contractor shall conduct a formal demonstration of the system in accor
13、dance with the requirements specified herein or in the applicable addendum to this specification (see 6.1). This demonstration shall be offically witnessed by NAVAIR or a designated representative. 3.3 General 3.3.1 Deviations. Deviations from this specification will not be per- mitted unless specif
14、ically approved by NAVAIR. Deviations may be requested when realistic improvements are attainable and the deviations are fully justified. 3.3.2 Modifications. At the discretion of the contractor and after approval by the Government Test Activity (GTA), such system components ex- cept Government Furn
15、ished Equipment (GFE) as may have been accepted by the government at the source of manufacture, may be modified by the contractor at the test facility or another convenient modification facility for purposes of meeting safety or other specialized requirements at the test facility. 3.3.3 Alterations.
16、 No alterations shall be permitted except after re- quest by the contractor and after approval by NAVAIR. Any such alterations made shall be incorporated in each system or system components remaining to be demonstrated. When NAVAIR determines alterations significantly change the performance of the s
17、ystem, appropriate portions of the demonstration pre- viously completed shall be required to be repeated. 3.3.4 System repair. Systems which fail the tests of 3.4 or 3.5 will be returned to the contractor at the Governments expense and shall be repaired, excluding GFE, at no increase in contract pri
18、ce provided these systems were not damaged or improperly tested by the GTA. 19、ainer construction, or improper transport will be returned to the con- tractor and will be repaired at the Governments expense. Systems which were damaged as a result of improper testing by the GTA will be returned to the contractor and will be repaired at the Governments expense. 3.3.5 Contractor r
20、esponsibility. The demonstration shall be conducted under the technical direction (see 6.3.2) of the contractor. The contractor shall furnish standard test equipment as well as equipment peculiar to the requirements of the demonstration, and items of a recurring nature. Any equipment procured or con
21、structed by the contractor with government funds shall be appropriately marked and shall be disposed of after completion of the contract according to NAVAIR instructions. 3.3.6 Government responsibility. Since demonstrations require the use of government test ranges and other test facilities, the te
