The ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff

3、 questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, established the topics for study by the ITU-T Study Groups which, in their turn, produce R

4、ecommendations on these topics. ITU-T Recommendation T.103 was prepared by the ITU-T Study Group VI11 (1988-1993) and was approved by the WTSC (Helsinki, March 1-12, 1993). NOTES 1 As a consequence of a reform process within the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the CCITT ceased to exist

5、as of 28 February 1993. In its place, the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) was created as of 1 March 1993. Similarly, in this reform process, the CCIR and the IFRB have been replaced by the Radiocommunication Sector. In order not to delay publication of this Recommendation, no ch

42、services up to and including layer 3 for syntax-based Videotex terminal equipment in the ISDN. The scope of this Recommendation is limited to virtual circuits using the three different DTE/DCE modes of connection. 43、 circuit service through the B-channel (X.3 1 Case B); the ISDN virtual circuit service through the D-channel (X.31 Case B). This Recommendation is applicable to terminal equipment supporting the syntax-based Videotex using either basic access or primary rate access to the ISDN. In this context, a t

44、erminal equipment is either a Videotex Terminal, a Videotex Service Centre, a Videotex Access Point or a Videotex Host (see 3. 1).
