45、with great shock and grief, the deliberate and coordinated acts ofterrorism in the United States which have resulted in great destruction and the loss of thousands of lives. In memory of the victims of this tragic event, may I ask you to join me in observing one minute of silence. On behalf of the C

I am delighted and comforted to see so many of you here, for we meet at a critical moment in the evolution of civil aviation. The despicable acts ofterrorism perpetrated in the United S

49、tates on 1 1 September, which have resulted in such devastation and the loss of thousands of innocent lives, have shocked and saddened us. There is no place for such acts in our civilized society. I know I speak for the entire civil aviation community in strongly condemning not only those acts, but also the misuse of civil aircraft,
