This standard shall be used todetermine the formability of sound deadenermaterials used in automotive body trimapplications. The test si

3、mulates the productionbaking process under laboratory conditions.Formability of deadener materials, as determinedby this test method, shall be defined as the abilityof the material to comply with the contours of astandard steel test panel when subjected to thebaking conditions (see Table 1).1.2 Fore

5、licable.3.2 Equipment.3.2.1 Test apparatus for conditioning according toGMW3221 Code A.3.2.2 Any forced-air drying oven capable ofmaintaining the specified temperatures within thespecified tolerances.3.3 Test Vehicle/Test Piece. Tests shall beperformed using steel test panels according toGMW2M-ST-S.

6、 The test panels shall comply withthe dimensions shown in Figure 1.3.3.1 From the available material, test pieces(250 0.5) mm x (50 2) mm x thickness ofdeadener pad shall be taken. The direction ofsampling is unimportant.3.3.2 For initial sample approval and arbitrationpurposes, at least three (3) t

10、r conditioning, test piecesshall be placed centrally on the steel test panel andsubjected to the baking conditions.4.3.2 The baked test piece shall then be allowed tocool to (+23 5) C before evaluation.4.3.3 Baking Conditions.
