2、RSION: 3 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at standardizing works by unifying a using method of Rockwell hardness tester used by GMDAT. 2. SCOPE This standard specifies the method of Rockwell A, B, C and Rockwell superficial N and T hardness test for metallic materials mainly
3、 used by GMDAT. 3. DEFINITIONS 3.1. Rockwell and Rockwell superficial hardness When the diamond or ball indenter is preliminary pressed under the standard load, additionally applied the test load and then applied the standard load again, the hardness shall be determined by the difference between the
4、 depth of indentations under those two standard loads mentioned above and also by using the defining formula. When the standard weight is 10kgf (98.07N), it is nominated Rockwell hardness and when 3kgf (29.42N), it is Rockwell superficial hardness. 3.2. Scale of hardness and its content Scale Indent

17、mm 12.700 0.0025mm 5. TEST PIECE 5.1. For initial sample approval purposes, at least 3 test pieces shall be tested and for routine quality control, at least 1 test piece shall be tested. 5.2. As a rule, the test surface of the test piece and its reverse side surface shall be even and parallel to eac
18、h other. When the test piece is made of sheet with bow and its reverse side is not flat, spot anvil shall be applied to test. 5.3. In case the hardness is measured on the curved test surface, the compensated value shall be added to the measured hardness value to be the hardness value of the test pie
