1、I INCH-POUND I MIL-C-9177B AMENDMENT 3 AMENDMENT 2 12 September 1988 MILITARY SPECIFICATION CONNECTOR, AUDIO, AIRBORNE, GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR This amendment forms a part of MIL-C-9177B(USAF), dated 30 April 1981, and is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defens

PAGE 1 2.1, delete “MIL-C-55330 - Connectors, Preparation for Delivery of.“ and substitute “MIL-C-55330 - Connectors, Electrical and Fiber Optic, Packaging of.“ PAGE 8 3.6.18.2, delete and substitute: “3.6.18.2 Unmated connectors. When tested in accordance with 4.6.19.2, each contact spring of th

3、e test connector shall be deflected by an amount not more than 0.015 inch (0.38 mm).“ Add the following new paragraph: “3.6.22.1 Anti-rotation detents (when sDecified, see 3.1). When tested in accordance with 4.6.23.1, the jack contact insert shall not rotate within the shell halves nor shall there

4、be failure of the cable attachment means.“ PAGE 10 Table 1, group III, add the following after Cable retention: * “Anti-rotation detents (when specified) I 3.6.22.1 I 4.6.23.1 I “ PAGE 12 4.5.3, Inspection of packaging, second line, delete the word “packaging“. PAGE 15 4.6.19.2, delete and substitut

With the axis of the connector mated in a horizontal plane to a soli

7、d steel plug conforming to the dimensions of plug M9177/1-1, a 20-pound (minimum) load shall be freely suspended from the cord end of the connector for a minimum of five minutes in each of four 90 degree positions.” Add the following new paragraph: “4.6.23.1 Anti-rotation detents (see 3.6.22.1). The

8、 specified cable (see 3.1) shall be assembled to the test connector. The connector body shall be secured and the cable shall be clamped close to the point that it exits the connector body. A twisting force of seven pound-inches shall be applied to the cable in each direction for a minimum of one min

9、ute.” PAGE 18 * 6.4 and 6.4.1, delete and substitute: “6.4 Qualification. With respect to products requiring qualification, awards will be made only for products which are, at the time of award of contract, qualified for inclusion in Qualified Products List (QPL-9177) whether or not such products ha

10、ve actually been so listed by that date. The attention of the contractors is called to these requirements, and manufacturers are urged to arrange to have the products that they propose to offer to the Federal Government tested for qualification in order that they may be eligible to be awarded contra

11、cts or purchase orders for the products covered by this specification. Information pertaining to qualification of these products may be obtained from Defense Supply Center Columbus, DSCC-VQP, 3990 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43216-5000.” The margins of this amendment are marked with as asterisk

12、to indicate where changes from the previous amendment were made. This was done as a convenience only and the Government assumes no liability whatsoever for any inaccuracies in these notations. Bidders and contractors are cautioned to evaluate the requirements of this document based on the entire con

13、tent irrespective of the marginal notations and relationship to the last previous amendment.
