2、n has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description in preference to MIL-P-2343. Abstract. This specification covers a two-compartment pocket, in one type and size, made of camouflage green cotton webbing and designed to accommodate one 7-round magazine for the .45 caliber automatic pistol

3、in each of the two compartments. The pocket is attached to a pistol belt or individual equipment belt by two keepers. Webbins, Cotton. The cotton webbing shall be dyed Camouflage Green 483, water repellent, mildew resistant conforming to the following descriptions: -medium weight webbing (hard textu

7、ch saturated carboxylic acids, or a combination of both, mixed with refined mineral and vegetable waxes, titanate esters, or a combination of both. The product shall be applied either in the form of an aqueous emulsion or in the form of a water free solvent solution. The mildew compound applied shal

8、l be copper 8-quinolinolate in solubilized form. 0 Thread, Polyester. The thread shall conform to polyester twisted, soft with non-wicking finish, multiple cord thread with a minimum breaking strength of 16 lbs. The thread shall be dyed Camouflage Green 483 and shall show fastness to weathering equa

9、l to or better than the standard sample. Fastener, Snap. The snap fastener shall be a large curtain type, black in color. The female component shall be regular pronged with clinch plate and the male component shall be stud eyelet base, size 1, except the washer is not required. Rivet, Tubular. The t

10、ubular rivets shall be brass, .123 inch nominal size. The head diameter shall be nominal .313 inch. The rivets shall be given a black chemical finish. The length shall be such as to provide a secure clinch of the assembled components. Keeper, With Slide. The keeper with slide shall conform to type X

11、 of MIL-H-9890. Support, Fastener. The fastener support shall be brass with a dark oxide finish. Markinq. The identification marking shall be applied by direct printing, stamping, or stenciling in the location shown on the figure. The characters shall be approximately 1/4 inch in height, black, well

12、 defined, clearly legible, shall not show smearing, bleeding, or off-setting, and shall not show objectionable strike-through of the cloth. marking shall include the nomenclature IIPocket, Ammo, Magazine“, contract number, stock number, and contractors name. In addition, the letters iiUStl shall be

13、applied in the size and location indicated on the figure and shall also be black in color, made by marking, direct printing, stamping, or stenciling. Label/Taq. Each item shall be individually bar-coded with the type VIII, class 17 label/tag of DDD-L-20. This label/tag shall be located so that it is

14、 completely visible on each item and causes no damage to the item. The Identification Defects. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specificati

20、ons, standards and quality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for, under the provisions of the contract. Reliance on contractor quality assurance systems shall not relieve

21、 the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Examination. Pocket lots shall be inspected in accordance with “Sampling Procedures and Tables for Inspection by AttributesIl, ANSI

22、/ASQC 21.4, published by the American Society for Quality Control. Visual Examination. The pockets shall be examined for the defects listed below.
