4、1994 edition, as follows:a) The normative references have been updated.b) Hardness is now expressed in the SI unit Gigapascal for Vickers and Knoop hardness testing.c) For the Vickers hardness test, the maximum thickness of coatings for translucent or transparentceramics has been reduced from less t

5、han 2 mm to less than 0,2 mm (subclause 5.5).d) For the Knoop hardness test, the required number of indentations made when calibrating the testmachine has been reduced from three to one (subclause 6.2).e) The error in measurement for the Knoop test at HK 0,2 has been increased (subclause 6.5).f) Two

6、 figures each for Vickers and Knoop hardness testing have been included, giving guidelines foracceptance and rejection of indentations and criteria for using cross-hair measurement systems.g) Additions have been made to informative Annex A on interlaboratory evaluation of hardness testmethods.h) Add
