The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical E

6、ngineering Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-06-01 AA Sicherheit of Section Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen. Representatives of manufacturers and users of woodworking machines, and of the employers liability insurance associations contributed to this standard. This standard contains specifica

7、tions meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to tenoning machines that are either first

8、 placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer app

9、lying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The requirements of this standard concern designers, manufacturers, suppliers and importers of single end tenoning machines with slidin
