35、it(see5.9)intotheErlenmeyerflaskandshakeitmanuallyfor1min.AllowtheErlenmeyer flaskanditscontentstostandfor5min,withoutshaking. Insertafilterfunnelwithfrit(see5.9)intothe50mlvolumetricflask(see5.10).DecantthesolventfromtheMPPO extractionthroughthefilterintotheflask. Repeatthisextractionprocedureusing

Rinsethefilterwiththeorganicsolventandfilluptothemark.Aliquotsofthissolutioncanbeusedforfurther analysis. 8 Expressionofresults ExpresstheamountofthedesiredcomponentadsorbedontotheMPPOasmilligrampersquaredecimetreofthe testspecimentakingonlythatareaintoaccountwhichwascoveredbytheMPPO. 9
