An introduction to the complete British Standard is given in BS3G100-0. This subsection of BS 3G100 supersedes Clause 208 b) in BS 2G100-2:1

4、962, and details a test for tropical exposure. It is republished with minimal requirement changes pending a complete revision when full international agreement has been reached by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Technical Committee TC 50 and the International Organization for Sta

5、ndardization (ISO) Technical Committee TC 20 in relation to standard methods of test for tropical exposure to ensure reproducibility of test results. 10、sed to a humid environment typical of the tropically wet areas of the world. It should also be read in conjunction with BS3G100-0. 2 General test requirements The general test requirements stated in BS3G 100-2.3.0 shall apply. 3 Test 3.1 General. Equipment that has previously been subjected to the a

11、ppropriate temperature-pressure tests stated in BS3G 100-2.3.2 shall be subjected to the following test. The relevant equipment specification may permit the use of a separate sample. 3.2 Test procedure. The equipment in its idle state shall be subjected to cyclically varying temperatures ranging fro

12、m 35 1 C to 20 5 C while the relative humidity is maintained at not less than 95% throughout the entire test. Each cycle shall last 24 h, consisting of the attainment and maintenance of the upper temperature for 12 h and the lower temperature for not less than 5 h. This cycle shall be repeated for 2

13、8 days or for such longer period as may be specified in the relevant equipment specification. At the completion of the test, after regaining room temperature, the equipment shall be visually examined to determine whether deterioration likely to impair performance has occurred. The relevant equipment
