Radionavigational aids No. Term Definition 14101 aeronautical broadcasting service A radiocommunication service provided for the broadcast transmission of information relating to air navigation. 14102 aeronautical fixed telecommunication network (AFTN)
9、A telecommunication service between specified fixed points, intended for the transmission of information relating to air navigation, preparation for and safety of flight. 14103 aeronautical fixed station A station in the aeronautical fixed telecommunication network. 14104 aeronautical mobile service
10、 A service of radiocommunication between aircraft stations and aeronautical stations, or between aircraft stations. 14105 aeronautical station A station in the aeronautical mobile service. It may be placed on board a ship or in a satellite. 14106 aircraft station A radio station located in an aircra
11、ft. 14201 approach aids Systems designed to assist aircraft to make an approach along a chosen track or path. 14202 approach control radar (ACR) A type of surveillance radar displaying at an aerodrome the range and azimuth of aircraft within its cover. 14203 glide-path beacon A directional radio bea
12、con, forming part of the instrument landing system, which provides in the aircraft the vertical guidance necessary for landing. 14204 ground-controlled approachsystem A system of radionavigation comprising a surveillance radar element and a precision approach radar (PAR) element to facilitate a grou
13、nd-controlled approach(13268). 14205 instrument landing system (ILS) A system of radionavigation, intended to assist aircraft in landing, which provides lateral and vertical guidance, including, at specific points, indications of distance from the optimum point of landing. 14206 localizer A directio
14、nal radio beacon, forming part of the instrument landing system, which provides to an aircraft an indication of its lateral position relative to a specific runway. 14207 marker beacons See14303 to14305. 14208 precision-approach radar (PAR) Primary radar equipment used to determine accurately the pos
15、ition in range, azimuth and level of an aircraft during its approach relative to the selected approach path. 14209 radial selector A manually operated navigation instrument that operates in conjunction with a VOR receiver to show direction to or from the VOR station. 14210 radio compass A radio dire

17、tion 14212 secondary surveillance radar (SSR) A surveillance radar which interrogates the aircraft fixed transponder and displays a coded reply upon the primary display. 14213 terrain clearance warning indicator An airborne radionavigational device giving a warning signal when the clearance between
18、the aircraft and the Earth immediately below reaches a predetermined minimum value. 14214 weather radar CLOUD AND COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM A primary-radar equipment in an aircraft providing, usually, by a cathode-ray tube display, indication of the position of precipitation sized particles, other ai
19、rcraft or high ground. It may also be operated from the ground. 14301 locator beacon A non-directional radio beacon of low power, associated with an instrument landing system. 14302 marker beacon A radio beacon which radiates vertically a distinctive signal for providing position information to airc
20、raft. 14303 outer marker beacon A marker beacon, associated with the instrument landing system, used to define the first predetermined point during an instrument approach. 14304 middle marker beacon A marker beacon, associated with the instrument landing system, used to define the second predetermin
