Scope1.1 This specificat
3、ion covers requirements and test methodsfor material (see Appendix X1) dimensions and tolerances,hydrostatic burst strength, chemical resistance, and impactresistance of plastic pipe, tubing, and fittings for use in fuel gasmains and services for direct burial and reliner applications.The annexes pr
4、ovide specific requirements and test methodsfor each of the materials currently approved. If and whenadditional materials are available, specific annex requirementswill be added. The pipe and fittings covered by this specifica-tion are intended for use in the distribution of natural gas.Requirements
5、 for the qualifying of polyethylene systems foruse with liquefied petroleum gas are covered in Annex A1.1.1.1 This specification does not cover threaded pipe. De-sign considerations are discussed in Appendix X2. In-plantquality control programs are specified in Annex A3 and AnnexA4.1.2 The text of t
6、his specification references notes, footnotes,and appendixes which provide explanatory material.
