17、提出的问题，所引导从句可放在主句前，也可放在主句后。例如：8- Why are you late for school ?-Because I missed the first bus.-你为什么上学迟到？-因为我错过的早班车。 （2）as “由于,鉴于” 主从并重，从句说明原因，主语说明结果。说明比较明显的原因。多用于日常语中，常译为“由于” ，从句一般放于主句前。例如：As you dont feel well, you had better stay at home.鉴于你感觉不好，你最好在家休息。（3）since “因为,既然” 侧重主句，主句表示显然的或已知的理由。强调说话者和听者双

18、方都知道的原因，常译为“既然” ，一般用在这样的句子里。例如：Since weve got a few minutes to wait for the train, lets have a cup of coffee. 既然等火车还有几分钟，让我们去喝杯咖啡吧！（4）for “因为,由于”表明附加或推断的理由，引导的分句前常有逗号。for 分句不放句首.是用来附带解释或说明前一分句的原因和理由。例如：It must have rained last night, for the ground is wet.昨晚一定是下雨了，因为地下是湿的。【课堂变式】We should care more a

20、20 多公里的一个小村庄阿姆斯伯里。占地大约 11 公顷，主要是由许多整块的蓝砂岩组成，每块约重 50 吨。它的主轴线、通往石柱的古道和夏至日早晨初升的太阳，在同一条线上；另外，其中还有两块石头的连线指向冬至日落的方向。公元前 4000-公元前 2000 年建造。是欧洲著名的史前时代文化神庙遗9址，位于英格兰威尔特郡索尔兹伯里平原，约建于公元前 40002000 年（2008 年 3 月至4 月，英国考古学家研究发现，巨石阵的准确建造年代距今已经有 4300 年，即建于公元前2300 年左右） 。2013 年 8 月，考古学家研究显示史前巨石阵挖掘发现至少 63 具人类尸骨，推测最初这里曾是一个墓地，大约 100 年之后才开始建造巨石阵。
