5、symbols used by suppliers of truck, trailer, and bus wheel sealsto identify their products.These symbols appear on seals and packaging.1.1 PurposeThe purpose of this document is to provide users of truck, trailer, and bus wheel seals a means ofidentifying the suppliers of all such components by use

6、of the symbology utilized by the suppliers on theircomponents and packaging.2. ReferencesThere are no referenced publications specified herein.3. General3.1 To be listed; the supplier should provide evidence that the symbol is used.3.2 The following minimum identification is recommended.3.2.1 SEAL I

7、DENTIFICATIONa. Trademark or IDb. Date or date codec. Part numberd. Side identification (examples: oilside, airside)e. Country of origin (country where molded)3.2.2 PACKAGING IDENTIFICATIONa. Trademark or IDb. Part numberc. Country of origin (country where molded)3.3 The method which suppliers use t

8、o mark their products and packaging such as metal impressions, etching,laser, molded in marking, and ink marking is the suppliers option.3.4 The size of a manufacturers symbol is also an option.
