本标准与GB12953-1991的主要区别是：一将产品型号分为I型和E型(1991版的3.l；本版的3.1); 增加了单面纤维复合、织物内增强卷材类别（本版的3.1); 对单面纤维复合及织物内增强卷材用单位宽度拉力代替拉伸强度、以夹具间断裂伸长率代替标线间断裂伸长率，将试件形状作了改变(1991版的5；本版的5.5. 3); 对抗渗性、粘合性试验方法作了调整，对耐久性试验方法给出具体要求(1991版的5，本版的5. 10、5.13) 本标准由国家建筑材料工业局（原）提出。
