SCOP
2、E 1.1 Scope - The AN/APX-71A equipment described herein is an airborne transponder for use in conjunction with a system of electronic identification. equipment shall provide automatic radar identification of an airborne vehicle so equipped to all suitably equipped challenging aircr ft, surface ships
3、, and ground frceTperat5ng within the operational range of thj system. The 1.2 Classification - Equipment covered by this specification shall consist of the following items: Unit - Type Designation Coder- Receiver Transmitter KY-616 /APX-71A Base, Shock Mount Electrical Equipment MT-45 18/APX- 71A 1
4、.3 Associated Equipment - This equipment shall operate with the associated equipment listed in 6.5. 2. Copies of this specification and applicab
8、le specifications required by contractors in connection with specific procurement functions may be obtained upon application to the Commanding Officer, Naval Supply Depot, Code 105, 5801 Tabor Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19120. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Preproduction - This specification makes prov
9、ision for preproduction test in_$_ 3.2 Parts and Materials - 3.2.1 - General Requirements - The parts and materials specified in the drawings and related documents for use in construction of this equipment were selected to ensure the fulfillment of all requirements of this specification. Any deviati
10、on by the contractor from the use of these specified parts and materials necessarily places both the burden of proof for the acceptability of the change, and the cost associated therewith, upon the contractor. requested from the procuring activity by the contractor and granted by the procuring activ
11、ity prior to submission of equipments for preproduction tests. parts and material deviations shall not be construed by the contractor to constitute a waiver of the performance requirements or any other requirements of this specification. Approval for deviations must be Approval of 3.2.1.1 3.2.1.2 Al
12、l Parts and Materials - Requirements shall conform to MIL-E-5400. Nonreparable Subassemblies - As outlined in MIL-E-5400, nbn+?eparabl subassemblies, shall be used when practicable. and the amount of circuitry to be included therein shall be approved by the procuring activity. The general size of th
13、e subassembly Nonreparable subassemblies must be reliable. 3.2.1.3 Workmanshie - Equipments manufactured shall meet Sequirement 5 (Soldering) and Requirement 9 (Workmanship) of MIL-STD-454. 3.2.2 Nonstandard Parts and Materials Approval - Approval for the use of nonstandard parts and materials (incl
14、uding electron tubes, transistors and diodes) other than microelectronic devices, shall-be obtained as specified in MIL-E-5400. Microelectronic devices shall be approved in accordance with WR-98. 15、23757C(AS) 3.2.3 Microelectronic Modular Assemblies - When used, microelectronic modular assemblies shall meet the requirements of WR-98. 3.2.4 Supplemental Requirements - In the event that the contractor proposes to alter the equipment design delineated by this specification and applicable drawings
16、, the following supplemental requirements for the selection of parts and materials are applicable. 3.2.4.1 Basic Conformance - Parts and materials selected for use in the equipment shall conform to the requirements of MIL-E-5400. Parts shall be selected from those parts included in ANA Bulletin No.
17、400, unless the parts listed therein will not perform adequately in the intended applications and environments specified herein. 3.2.4.2 Interchangeability - The equipment shall meet the interchangeability requirements of MIL-E-5400. standard for measuring interchangeability of all applicable units,
18、 assemblies, subassemblies, and parts. The drawings listed in DL 386AS100 shall be the 3.3 accordance with the drawings and subsidiary specifications listed in DL 386AS100 and related lists, except insofar as errors of omission or commission on the drawings may be incompatible with the requirements
19、of this and related specifications. In any case it is a condition of final acceptance that the equipment manufactured meet all the performance requirements of this specification, and such acceptance test documents as may be applicable. Proposed changes, either to correct drawing discrepancies or to
20、effect improvements, shall be specifically approved by the procuring activity prior to their incorporation. deviations shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-481. Design and Construction - The equipment shall be manufactured in Engineering changes, waivers and 3.3.1 Total Weight - The total weight of t
21、he equipment, excluding cables, shall be a minimum consistent with good design and shall not exceed 9.75 pounds excluding the shock mount, nor exceed 10.5 pounds including the 3.5. mount specified in 3.3.2 Interference Control - The generation of ridio interference by the equipment and the vulnerabi
22、lity of the equipment to radio interference shall conform to the requirements of MIL-STD-461 within the limits established in 3.3.12. Standard Conditions - The following conditions shall be used to establish normal performance characteristics under standard conditions and for making laboratory bench
