SCOP

    2、E 1.1 Scope - The AN/APX-71A equipment described herein is an airborne transponder for use in conjunction with a system of electronic identification. equipment shall provide automatic radar identification of an airborne vehicle so equipped to all suitably equipped challenging aircr ft, surface ships

REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Preproduction - This specification makes prov

    9、ision for preproduction test in_$_ 3.2 Parts and Materials - 3.2.1 - General Requirements - The parts and materials specified in the drawings and related documents for use in construction of this equipment were selected to ensure the fulfillment of all requirements of this specification. Any deviati

    10、on by the contractor from the use of these specified parts and materials necessarily places both the burden of proof for the acceptability of the change, and the cost associated therewith, upon the contractor. requested from the procuring activity by the contractor and granted by the procuring activ

    11、ity prior to submission of equipments for preproduction tests. parts and material deviations shall not be construed by the contractor to constitute a waiver of the performance requirements or any other requirements of this specification. Approval for deviations must be Approval of 3.2.1.1 3.2.1.2 Al

    12、l Parts and Materials - Requirements shall conform to MIL-E-5400. Nonreparable Subassemblies - As outlined in MIL-E-5400, nbn+?eparabl subassemblies, shall be used when practicable. and the amount of circuitry to be included therein shall be approved by the procuring activity.     13、e subassembly Nonreparable subassemblies must be reliable. 3.2.1.3 Workmanshie - Equipments manufactured shall meet Sequirement 5 (Soldering) and Requirement 9 (Workmanship) of MIL-STD-454. 3.2.2 Nonstandard Parts and Materials Approval - Approval for the use of nonstandard parts and materials (incl

    14、uding electron tubes, transistors and diodes) other than microelectronic devices, shall-be obtained as specified in MIL-E-5400.     15、23757C(AS) 3.2.3 Microelectronic Modular Assemblies - When used, microelectronic modular assemblies shall meet the requirements of WR-98. 3.2.4 Supplemental Requirements - In the event that the contractor proposes to alter the equipment design delineated by this specification and applicable drawings

    16、, the following supplemental requirements for the selection of parts and materials are applicable. 3.2.4.1 Basic Conformance - Parts and materials selected for use in the equipment shall conform to the requirements of MIL-E-5400. Parts shall be selected from those parts included in ANA Bulletin No.

    17、400, unless the parts listed therein will not perform adequately in the intended applications and environments specified herein. 3.2.4.2 Interchangeability - The equipment shall meet the interchangeability requirements of MIL-E-5400. standard for measuring interchangeability of all applicable units,

    18、 assemblies, subassemblies, and parts. The drawings listed in DL 386AS100 shall be the 3.3 accordance with the drawings and subsidiary specifications listed in DL 386AS100 and related lists, except insofar as errors of omission or commission on the drawings may be incompatible with the requirements

    19、of this and related specifications. In any case it is a condition of final acceptance that the equipment manufactured meet all the performance requirements of this specification, and such acceptance test documents as may be applicable. Proposed changes, either to correct drawing discrepancies or to

Design and Construction - The equipment shall be manufactured in Engineering changes, waivers and 3.3.1 Total Weight - The total weight of t

    21、he equipment, excluding cables, shall be a minimum consistent with good design and shall not exceed 9.75 pounds excluding the shock mount, nor exceed 10.5 pounds including the 3.5. mount specified in 3.3.2 Interference Control - The generation of ridio interference by the equipment and the vulnerabi

    22、lity of the equipment to radio interference shall conform to the requirements of MIL-STD-461 within the limits established in 3.3.12. Standard Conditions - The following conditions shall be used to establish normal performance characteristics under standard conditions and for making laboratory bench

    25、odified herein. 3.3.4.1 Vibration - The equipment shall operate satisfactorily when subjected to the vibration requirements of Curves I and II of MIL-E-5400. 3.3.4.2 Temperature - The equipment shall operate satisfactorily when subjected to the temperature requirements of Table I, Class 2 of MIL-E-5

    26、400. 3.3.4.3 Altitude - The equipment shall operate satisfactorily when subjected to the altitude requirements of Table I, Class 2, Column VI11 of MIL-E-5400. 3.3.4.4 Temperature-Altitude Combination -The equipment shall operate satisfactorily when subjected to the requirements of Table I, Class 2,

    27、Column IV only. 3.3.4.5 Shock - The equipment shall meet the shock requirements of MIL-E-5400 except that impact shock shall be Zog. 3.3.4.6 Salt Spray - The equipment shall withstand exposure to salt spray in accordance with Procedure I of MIL-E-5272. - -3T-3.4,7-Pressurization - The equipment shal

    28、l meet the pressurization requirements of MIL-E-5400. 3.3.5 Antenna Mismatch - Anticipated service conditions of impedance mismatch shall include all values of load impedance that present a voltage standing wave ratio (SWR) up to and including 3.5 decibels (DB) (1.497:l SWR) of any phase relationshi

    29、p atthe antenna terminal of the receiver-transmitter unit. 3.3.6 Transmitter Duty Cycle - The transmitter shall be capable of continuous operation at 1.0 percent duty cycle. For mean-time-between-failure (MIBF) and life- test considerations, operations shall be at 0.5 percent duty-cycle for 50 minut

    30、es and 1.0 percent or 10 minutes of each hour. testing, normal duty-cycle shall be 0.5 percent and limit conditions shall be 0.1 percent and 1.0 percent duty-cycles.     45、aracteristics - The equipment shall operate in the presence of the following types of interfering signals with minimum degradation: 3.4.1.2.1 Continuous Wave and Amplitude Modulated Continuous Wave Interference - The equipment shall operate in the presence of interfering signals consisting of contin

    46、uous wave (CW) and amplitude-modulated continuous wave (AMCW) and shall meet the following requirements. throughout the required range of interrogating signal levels. Measurements shall be made to assure compliance (1) If the interrogating signal to which the equipment should reply is between 3 and
