SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This
2、 specification covers one type of inherently fire-safe, shrink-safe, woven cloths. 1.2 Classification. Cloth covered by this specification shail be as specified (see 6.2): 100 percent fiberglass base material that is coated on both sides in accordance with paragraph 3.5 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 G

In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, h
14、owever, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 6.4), in accordance with 4.3. 3.2 Material. 3.2.1 Fibers. Fiberglass fiber: The
15、fiber shall be “Ct filament type fiberglass (see 4.1.1 and 4.5). 3.2.2 Yarns. The warp and filling yarns shall be singles (see 4.5). 3.2.3 Fiber content. The fiber content shall be as specified in 3.2.1 when tested in accordance with 4.5 (see 4.1.1). . 3.3 Weave. The weave shall be of a type which d
16、oes not promote potential fiber breakdown resulting in tensile strength loss after extended exposure to foldedkreased storage. Plain and taffeta weaves are not recommended. 3.4 Color. The color of the finished cloth shall approximate the standard sample that has been approved by the contracting offi
17、cer. The dyed cloth shall show fastness to laundering (after 3 cycles
18、), crocking, and light (20 hours) equal to or better than the standard sample. When no standard sample has been established or designated as applicable to colorfastness, the dyed and finished cloth shall show “good“ fastness to laundering (after 3 cycles), light (after 20 hours exposure) and shall s
19、how a Munsell Value for crocking, in accordance with AATCC Color transference chart, not lower than 8.5 (see 4.5). 3.5 Finish. The coating compound shall be an approved acrylic or a urethane-acrylic aqueous polymeric system which is corrective with water repellent Silicons and flame retardant elemen
20、ts. The compound shall be compatible with the base cloth to ensure its proper adherence to the yarns of the base cloth. The coating shall be applied to both the face and back of the base cloth. 3.6 Shrinkage. The finished cloth shall not shrink nor elongate more than 2 percent in the warp and filing
21、 directions when tested in accordance with 4.5. 3.7 Width. The width inclusive of selvage shall be as specified by the contracting activity with a plus or minus tolerance of 2 percent (see 6.2). 3.8 Designs and patterns. The designs and patterns, dyed color or natural, shall be as specified (see 6.2
22、). 3.9 Length and put-up. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2) cloth shall be in one continuous length of 50 plus or minus 2-1/2 yards, put-up in rolls. 3.10 Physical requirements. The finished cloth shall conform to the requirements specified in table I when tested in accordance with table II. 3.11
23、 Marking. The length of each roll shall be legibly marked with indelible ink on a ticket securely attached to the roll. 3.12 Workmanship. The finished cloth shall conform to the quality established herein. The demerit points per 100 square yards, when calculated as specified herein, shall not exceed
