2、-A-l855A, and Federal Specifications W-L-O0116/43A, /44A, and /45A which are canceled, 1, Abstract, This CID describes the general requirements for procureBent of one type fluorescent lamp of certain colors used for typical illumination. 2. Salient characteristics. This Commercial Item Description (

3、CID) covers F96/T-12, instant-start, fluorescent lamps, 75 watt, 425 ma, 96 inch nominal length, single pin contact base, 12,000 hours average rated life at 3 hrs/ start, further described in table I. Contractor certification, The contractor shall certify and maintain sub- stantiating evidence that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to re

8、quire proof of such conformances prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 4. Metric Products, Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units, provided

9、they fall within the tolerances specified using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard No, 376, and all other requirements of this Commercial Item Description are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specifi

10、ed in the inch/pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. 5. Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in acco

11、rdance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practical. 6. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. Preservation, packag- ing, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order. If not specified in the contract or order shall comply with ASTM D-3951

Anti-counterfeit marking, When an item has been deemed to be susceptible to counterfeiting, each item shall be marked in such a manner as to provide the contracting activity with an authentication and traceability track to the true manufacturer, manufacturer and provided to the quality assuran
