Abstract. This commercial item description covers one ty

2、pe of starch base adhesive for mounting paper targets. Salient characteristics. The adhesive shall be suitable for bonding pistol and rifle (lightweight) paper targets. The base material of the adhesive shall be made of pure find powdered wheat, containing sufficient preservatives to prevent decompo

3、sition, weevil and mold growth in package, musty and other undesirable odors and prevent fermentation after mixing with water. The adhesive powder shall be free from lumps, agglomerate or debris and shall mix readily with water to form a smooth and uniform, ready-to-use paste. The adhesive shall hav

4、e a hydrogen ion (pH) value between 3.6 and 7.0 and shall have full body cdnsistency to minimize sagging and dripping during application. After application, it shall have a translucent finish. The adhesive shall have excellent brushability when applied at the temperature range of 50 to 100 degrees F

5、ahrenheit (10 to 37.8 degrees Celsius) and shall be free from added toxic or hazardous substances such as asbestos, lead, or mercury. 0. Workmanship.
