12、standard practice is to provide technical and quality assurance guidelines for the fabrication, welding, and installation of stainless chromium-nickel steel and nickel-alloy roll-bonded and explosion-bonded clad plate in air pollution control equipment. It is intended for use by personnel including

13、architect-engineers, designers, fabricators, and personnel from electric utilities. This standard was originally prepared in 1999 by NACE Task Group T-5F-6, a component of Unit Committee T-5F, “Corrosion Problems Associated with Pollution Control.” It was revised in 2004 and 2009 by Task Group (TG)

14、199, “Stainless Chromium-Nickel Steel and Nickel-Alloy Roll-Bonded and Explosion-Bonded Clad Plate for Air Pollution Control Equipment, Installation: Review of NACE Standard RP0199.” TG 199 is administered by Specific Technology Group (STG) 45, “Pollution Control, Waste Incineration, and Process Was

21、ty assurance guidelines for the fabrication, welding, and installation of stainless chromium-nickel steel and nickel-alloy roll-bonded and explosion-bonded clad plate conforming to ASTM(1)A 2641or A 2652in air pollution control equipment (e.g., flue gas desulfurization FGD absorbers, ducts, and stac

It is intended to be the basis for preparation of a specification to be agreed on by contracting parties. 1.2 For the purposes of this standard, the term alloy is used to describe either the stainless chromium-nickel steel or nickel-alloy portion of clad-steel plate or the equivalent solid stai

23、nless chromium-nickel steel or nickel-alloy material. 1.3 It is the responsibility of users of this standard to determine the suitability of the construction materials specified for particular applications. 1.4 This standard is only applicable to materials that conform to the following standards or

24、to comparable material specifications as agreed on by contracting parties. Alternative fabrication practices, such as use of partial-penetration welds covered by batten strips in accordance with NACE Standard RP0292,18are

28、not addressed in this standard. 1.8 New and improved welding techniques as well as new alloys are being developed. References to specific weld designs and techniques in this standard are not intended to preclude the use of newer technology. The use of alternative methods should be mutually agreed on

32、mandatory). 2.1.3 Procedures for cleaning fabricated clad plate are in Appendix C (nonmandatory). 2.2 Weld Joint Preparation 2.2.1 Weld joint preparation of clad plate shall be made by machining, plasma-arc cutting, or grinding. 2.2.2 All thermal cuts should be ground back as necessary to remove dro

33、ss. 2.2.3 Care should be taken to ensure that any grinding does not contaminate the weld area and that machined surfaces are clean and free of filings, burrs, and oil. 2.3 Weld Joint Designs 2.3.1 Weld joint designs for various clad plate thicknesses welded with accessibility to one or both sides ar

34、e illustrated in Figures 1 through 4. 2.3.1.1 Suggested Dimension A1in Figures 1 through 3 for various welding processes is provided in Table 1. 2.3.1.2 Alloy designations for the various alloy cladding materials that should be welded with the weld joint designs illustrated in Figures 1 through 4 ar

35、e listed in Table 2. 2.3.1.3 Alloy weld filler metals for welding the various alloy designations of cladding materials are listed in Table 3. 2.3.2 The weld joint designs illustrated in Figures 1 though 4 are not mandatory. The contractor may develop and qualify alternatives for approval by the purc

36、haser. 2.3.3 The numbering of the weld beads in Figures 1 though 4 indicates the order of weld bead placement. This weld bead numbering should not be confused with the alloy designation numbers in Table 2. 2.3.4 Alloy weld filler metal must be used for all weld beads of the weld joint designs shown

37、in Figures 1 through 3. For the weld joint design illustrated in Figure 4, either carbon steel weld filler metalAWS A5.1, AWS A5.17, or AWS A5.18or alloy weld filler metal may be used for the steel-side welds (numbered 1 through 5), but alloy weld filler metal must be used for the alloy-side welds (
