2、ATERIAL BY WEIGHT, 980 g/m2 1. SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are needled, nonwoven polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers, with a blend of virgin and recycled fibers. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for acoustic under-engine shields, acoustic under
3、body aero/NVH shields, and acoustic wheel arch/well liners. 2.1 LIMITATIONS These materials are not to be considered for use on Class A surfaces. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List
4、 (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned
5、 for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.3 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA 3.3.1 In addition to the requirements listed herein, the end-item a
6、coustic underbody shields and wheel arch liners shall be tested to WSS-M99P32-E2/E3/E4/E5 (or latest) and any additional SDS requirements. The details for each of the suppliers specific construction shall be documented in the supplement attached and uploaded into the scanned data package. 3.3.2 Recy
7、cled Content This specification must contain 25% minimum recycled content as defined by WRS-M99P42-A2 (Textile Materials, Identification of Recycled Content). 8、ons shall be conducted on test specimens taken from finished roll goods prior to any subsequent operations, such as reheating or molding. 3.5 APPEARANCE Color shall be dark grey or black for all Wheel Arch / Wheel Well Liners (E2/E3) visible surfaces. White is not preferred for other components, a d
9、ark heather color is acceptable. 12、AL SHRINKAGE (FREE STATE) 8 - 14 % (Method: 200C for 2 minutes, MD/AMD) 1. Die cut a 300 mm x 300 mm piece of the unmolded, needle punched base fabric. 2. Reference Figure 1: 3. Place grommets on specimen. 4. Measure the distance between the grommets (in-line), using precision sliding caliper. This
