4、 Code of Federal Regulations3. GENERAL: Conveyor system design must comply with the latest editionof the referenced standards. In those instances where Ford standardsexceed the referenced standards, Ford standards will apply. It is theresponsibility of the supplier to determine that all standards ar

5、e met orrequest a waiver of requirements if necessary. Any waiver must beapproved by the requisitioning activity.4. CONSTRUCTION:4.1 COMPONENT PARTS: All component parts subject to wear and/orreplacement shall be bolted to facilitate maintenance and erection.4.2 WEAR BARS: Abrasive resistant wear ba

7、 Page 2 of 24.4 GUARDS: Removable metal guards shall be provided for all movingparts and for chain returns. Guards shall be fabricated from aminimum of 16 gauge (1.5 mm) material or from expanded metalwith 3/4 inch (19 mm) maximum openings.4.5 DRIP PANS: Steel drip pans fabricated from 16 gauge (1.5

8、 mm)material (minimum) shall be provided as required.4.6 PAINT: Fabricated components shall be primed prior to delivery(except for tracks used in paint booths or ovens). The finish coatto be specified by the requisitioning activity.4.7 END-OF-TRAVEL DETECTION DEVICES: Slat conveyors with manual un-l

9、oading require “end-of-travel detection devices“ to preventaccidental discharge of loads.5. TAKE-UPS: Take-ups are required at each end of the tail shaft.Take-ups shall be screw type with roller bearings and with greasefittings located for ease of service.6. REDUCERS: Roller chains are to be used to

10、 drive conveyor headshaftsfrom the reducer output shafts.7. ELECTRICAL: Electric power shall be 480 Volt, 60-hertz, 3-phase.Conveyor drives shall be equipped with “instantaneous trip“ overloadrelays, approved by the requisitioning activity.Relays shall be wired so that the conveyor can be restarted only from afrom a push button located at the control center of control panel.8. EMERGENCY STOPS: Emergency stop buttons or pull stop cables shall beprovided along all working areas as specified by requisitioning activity.
