SUGGESTIONS FOR POW

3、ER WHEEL BRUSH APPLICATIONS: 4.1 Effect of brush speeds (SFM) Increased speed makes the brush face act stiffer. Light pressure for cleaning, roughing, deburring should be used as too much deflection slows brushing action. 4.2 4.3 4.4 Faster cutting action may be obtained with: Larger diameter brush.

4、 Increase speed (maximum recommended RPM should not be exceeded). Heavier wire or shorter trim. Finer finish may be obtained with: Brush of lighter wire gage. Wire brush with a denser face. Or tampico brush with abrasive compound. Increase brush effectiveness Periodically changing the rotation direc

5、tion will keep wires sharp and increase the effectiveness and life of the brush. 6、re should be used to avoid irregular hand manipulation. 4.6 4.7 4.8 For brushing irregular surfaces Brush with longer trim providing more flexibility should be used. If wire brush results in rolling the metal or peening, a secondary burr, shorter trim, denser face brush should be used. Horsepower re

7、quirements The horsepower required depends on the size of the brush and the resistance developed in applying the work to the brush. Application assistance Due to the many variables, it is recommended that the brush manufacturers be contacted for assistance and their judgment on specific applications

8、. 4.9 Safety notes 4.9.1 Operators should always wear goggles or face shields. 4.9.2 Synthetics should never be used with ethyl alcohol, nor in solutions with temperatures over 160 F. 5. ORDERING POWER WHEEL BRUSHES: 5.1 When ordering power wheel brushes the following descriptive information must be

9、 specified prior to placement of such orders: 5.1.1 Wheel brushes, cup brushes, and wide face brushes: 1. Plant code number, if any 2. Supplier part number 3. Outside and inside brush diameter 4. Arbor hole size and keyway size, as applicable 5. Wire size or type fill material 6. Crimped or straight
