This was because amendments, agreed by ETSI TC-SMG at subsequent meetings, were made to some of the drafts. However, other drafts have not been amended since the first

18、rface (GSM 05- and Obseries of Recommendations). Its main objective is to be a guidance for the interface between the GSM Recommendations in the 05-series and the 04-series. It also specifies the format of signalling channels and the order of bit transmission. When the mention for “further study“ or
19、 “FS“ or “FFS“ is present throughout this document this means this is not relevant for ETSI-GSM phase 1 standard. As far as possible, this recommendation makes use of the layering principles of the Reference Model for Open System Interconnection (OSI) as contained in CCITT recommendations X.200 and
20、X.210. The physical layer (layer i) is the lowest layer in the OS1 Reference Model and it supports all functions required for the transmission of bit streams on the physical medium. These bit streams are transferred on traffic and control channels as defined in Rec. GSM 04.03. Note : For GSM applica
