17、 (TC) of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). This GSM Technical Specification (GTS) presents a study which proves the feasibility of ISDN-based DECT/GSM interworking to support roaming of users of cordless DECT terminals between public GSM networks and private DECT networks v
18、ia an ISDN-based interface. The contents of this GTS are subject to continuing work within TC-SMG and may change following formal TC-SMG approval. Should TC-SMG modify the contents of this GTS it will then be republished by ETSI with an identifying change of release date and an increase in version n
19、umber as follows: Version 5.x.y where: y the third digit is incremented when editorial only changes have been incorporated in the specif cat ion; x the second digit is incremented for all other types of changes, .e. technical enhancements, corrections, updates, etc. Page 6 GSM 01.48 Version 5.0.1 :
20、November 1996 Blank page Page 7 GSM 01.48 Version 5.0.1 : November 1996 1 Scope This Global System for Mobile communications Technical Specification (GTS) provides a study which proves the feasibility of ISDN-based DECT/GSM interworking to support roaming of users of cordless DECT terminals between
21、public GSM networks and private DECT networks via an ISDN-based interface. The study is aiming at teleservice speech and supplementary services. Data, fax and other teleservices are out of scope. In order to limit the amount of work for subsequent specifications to what is achievable within a reason
22、able timeframe, this feasibility study considers very complex functionality, e.g. inter-network handover, to be out of scope. Commercial viability and demand has to be considered by GSM MOU Association. 2 References This GSM technical specification incorporates by dated and undated reference, provis
