19、is standard is to determine composition, nature of materiais, manufactwing tests and thermoelectric behaviour of connedors for senson using thermocouples according to HD 446.31. The latter standard does not cover such spechi thermocouples as U, L and W types; nevertheless the user of such special th

20、ermocouples may use the connectors described hereafter with some restrictions mentioned in the relevant paragraphs. 21、 by their dimensional, physical, electrical and chemical charactensti cs. The types retained in this standard are: - A type: connectors with cyindricai pins and cylindrical sockets; - B type: connedors with fiat pins and flat sockets. 2.1.2 Other connectors The electrical characteristics are identic

22、al to those defined for connectom described in 3.1.1. Withdrawal tests, waterproof and dustproof tests, corrosion tests, tests for resistance to heat, will be stated by the manufacturer as a list of technicai charactens . tia. The dimensional, physical and chemicai characteristics peculiar to each m

23、anufacturer are not specified. 2.2 Marking for identification and polarities The connectors shall comprise a permanent colour marking, e.g. either indelible superciai or mass colouring, or recessed coloured dots or coloured rings, etc. At least the positive poiarity shall be indicated by permanent m

24、arking. Though not compulsow, to avoid confusion with previous markings, or markings in other standards, the thermocouple type may be also additionally indicated.
