23、SAsiaandAPforAustralasiaandPacificIslands.Anasteriskafter thegeographicaloriginindicatesthatthetimberiscommerciallyavailablefromplantationgrowthelsewhere. 2.5 Thestandardname Insomeinstances,thenamesofwellknowntimberssuchasoak,cedarorpinewithageographicalorother qualification,areusedfortimbersthatha

24、venobotanicalrelationshipwiththoseproperlysonamed.Namesofthis kindaredistinguishedbyquotationmarkstoindicatethattheyarenottrueoaks,cedarsorpines. Thesenameshavebecomefirmlyestablishedbylonguse(e.g.Tasmanianoak,PortOrfordcedar,Paranapine) andwherethereisnosuitablealternativetheestablishednamehasbeena

25、doptedasstandardalthoughitis botanicallyinappropriate.Althoughsuchnamesareusedintheseinstances,thisshouldnotbetakenasa precedenttojustifytheacceptanceofsimilarnamesinfuture.
