8、100 .142 28.00 8 3 1/ Wire size 20 AWG and 22 AWG shall be constructed with nickel-coated high-strength copper strands. 2/ The conductor strands shall have an annular nickel coating, whose weight shall be not less than 27 percent of the total weight of the nickel-coated strand. 3/ These wires shall

9、comply with the sealing range requirements for firewall connectors as specified in SAE-AS50151, MIL-DTL-38999, and MIL-DTL-83723. 4/ The 22H wire is defined as heavy-wall or thick-wall version of size 22 wire for use in specific applications. It is considered to be “light weight, small diameter” whe

10、n compared with the normal weight size 22 of MIL-DTL-25038/1. The 22H wire should only be used with a size 20 type contact for MIL-DTL-38999 connectors.
