This drawing describes the requirements for a family of aluminum alloy fin stock heat sinks for use with electronic componen

Unless otherwise noted herein or in the contract, in the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein (except for related sp
16、ecification sheets), the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Material. The material shall be annealed 3003 aluminum alloy sheet in accordance with ASTM
17、 B209. 3.2 Design and configurations. See figure 1. 3.3 PINs and dimensions. See table I. 3.4 Length. Length shall be specified on the purchase order (see figure 1). 3.5 Width. Width shall be as specified on the purchase order. Dash numbers 40 through 56 are normally available in one width only, but
18、 may be available in other widths from certain vendors. All other dash numbers are available in various widths not to exceed the maximum value specified in table I. 3.6 Surface roughness. Material surface roughness shall not exceed 40 microinches rms. 3.7 Statement in lieu of testing. The acquiring
19、activity, at its discretion, may accept from the manufacturer a statement of compliance with the group A requirements in lieu of the manufacturer performing the group A tests (see 4.4.1 and 6.2c). 3.8 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmental
20、ly preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 3.9 Certificate of compliance. A certificate of compliance shall be required from
21、manufacturers requesting to be an approved source of supply. 3.10 Pure tin. The use of pure tin, as an underplate or final finish is prohibited both internally and externally. Tin content of components and solder shall not exceed 97 percent, by mass. Tin shall be alloyed with a minimum of 3 percent
22、lead, by mass (see 6.3). 3.11 Marking. The heat sinks need not be marked. Package marking shall be in accordance with MIL-DTL-19491. 3.12 Workmanship. The fin section shall not be bent, dented, crushed or otherwise damaged. First and last convolutions may vary from normal fin pitch and appearance an
23、d will not always be uniform. Some fins will not be straight or always vertical. Cut edges shall not be ragged or contain burrs or hanging slivers; such projections shall not be greater than twice the material thickness in height and shall be random in occurrence.
